Hello Sunshine, we’re back!

April 2026

The flowers have popped, the grass is bright green and the Berkshire’s busiest season is just around the corner!

It’s been a while. After reading Katherine May’s book ‘Wintering’ a few years ago, I’ve fallen in love with the pace of winter, but this one…was a slog. Wasn’t it? It felt long and tedious, even with the beauty of consistent snow.

But now, the season has turned, spring is upon us and summer will be here and gone before you know it.

It will not come as a surprise to any of us that the world has been nuts this past year. Everyone is exhausted. The way we’ve been meeting that in our family is less time online, engaging in our community in many ways, time in nature, thinking about where we spend our money and focusing mostly on experiences, rather than stuff.

If you choose to visit us in the Berkshires this summer, you have a lot to look forward to: An amazing season at Tanglewood and the return of Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival. Endless hiking, outdoor activities, art festivals, museum openings, swimming in the lakes, restaurant patios humming, breakfast on our beautiful screened porch and more.

We’ve also done a full reset of our West Rd property and added a wood fired hot tub for you to enjoy.

We hope you will take time to be with the people who are most important with you, to walk in the trees and reset your nervous system. The world is requiring a lot of us, and to be present for that, it’s important to recharge.

Whether you’re here with us, or staying close to home, put down your phone and walk in the trees.
